RHS The Chelsea Flower Show

Chelsea Flower Show 2011
I normally love the rambling traditions of a cottage garden but I must admit I am absolutely blown away by the Monaco Garden at the Chelsea Flower Show.

A side view of the same garden, those loungers look so inviting....love the hot colours of the planting and I don't know if you can see but there is a carpet of lavender on top of the roof of the structure at the back of the garden.

My second favourite is the M & G Garden and once again features lavender in its planting........

....it was designed by Bunny Guinness (.fantastic name!!). Also really really like vegetable gardens and think that is why I liked Bunny's so much. Here is the info and inspiration behind the genius...
"I just thought it would be lovely to do a garden which could actually use... generally I do like gardens that really work hard and they allow you to do things in them and they work for you and provide things... and have several different functions"

Virtual Happiness at Anthropologie

I spend an unhealthy amount of time looking at loveliness on the internet. I especially like the Anthropologie website both for clothes and the home. These items below are on my top wish list. I have started to teach myself how to cook and would love to have these to help me along a bit.

And of course to finish off a baking session there is always a mountain of washing up and what better way to dry those dishing than using a gorgeous tea towel like this one...

I wish.........

I wish we still wore gloves like these, they are so elegant. I am reading The Crimson Petal and the White at the moment and its full of Victorian gorgeousness like these gloves. They talk of the women wearing cages under their skirts to keep their bodies away from their clothes. It caused their dresses to swish and sway as they walked by. The fabrics also caused the dresses to rustle in a rhythm to their walk. It must have been a most interesting time to have lived.

Amy Butler Wallpaper

I love fabric and therefore I am a great fan of Amy Butler. Her fabrics are just awe inspiring and modern classics. Check out her web page here. She has recently teamed up with Graham and Brown to produce some wonderful wallpapers. The field colour palette is my favourite as green tones really work with most other colours.

They are just gorgeous aren't they? I would love to be able to use this wallpaper somewhere in my house but where? I will definately be giving it some serious thought though.
